Creative Strategist & Visual Designer

I am a multidisciplinary designer and technology professional with 30+ years of experience spanning UX design, visual communication, information architecture, and technical support. My approach balances aesthetic sensibility with strategic problem-solving, focusing on creating clear, cohesive systems that serve both function and user experience.

I am presently engaged in system administration and IT support while continuing to provide freelance design services, including website development, brand systems, user experience design, and digital strategy consulting.

​

Previously, I served as Design Team Lead at the International Rice Research Institute, where I managed the design sub-team overseeing the Institute's digital, visual, and multimedia communication needs. As an Information Architecture and Design Specialist, I supervised the implementation of comprehensive online communication strategies across multiple platforms and stakeholder groups. My portfolio includes major institutional websites, knowledge management systems, and digital publications for international organizations.

I also worked as a Trade Commissioner/Information Manager with Global Affairs Canada in Manila, providing market entry support to Canadian companies while managing CRM systems, marketing communications, and regional information resources across Southeast Asia.

My recent experience includes System Administrator/IT Support roles, Project Development Management for software teams, and serving as an Image Reviewer for Canva, giving me deep insight into both technical infrastructure and design platform workflows.
